COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou men's basketball fans are invited by Nike and the Mizzou Athletics Department to prove that they have been `Tournament Ready Since Day One.'
Nike, the Tigers' official apparel outfitter, has launched a website campaign that celebrates the top 64 programs in men's basketball, which for the second consecutive season, includes the Tigers. The website allows fans to explore each of the NCAA Tournament teams through program-specific home pages, which feature video content and social networking capabilities. The Tigers' page features a video from ESPN personality Jay Bilas, who explains what fans can expect when dealing with `The Fastest 40 Minutes in Basketball.'
The Mizzou-specific website also gives fans the chance to update their Facebook status via the Tournament Ready application, which will automatically update a fan's status in support of the Tigers before and after each tournament matchup. The basketball program with the most fan support on Facebook when the tournament games begin on Thursday (March 18) will win a pep rally, thrown by Nike Basketball, Nike iD and Nike Pro Combat to kick off the 2010-11 season.
Be sure to check out the Nike Tournament Ready website and make sure to back the Tigers at the Mizzou-specific page.
