COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Mizzou volleyball team brightened the day of senior citizens by delivering nearly 600 homemade chocolate chip cookies to the Lenoir Retirement Community on Tuesday (Nov. 24). The team took time to spread well wishes and to thank many of the members of the community for their support on this Thanksgiving week. Several members of the team spent all morning baking, bagging and stapling greeting cards to the bag while the other half of the team hand-delivered the cookies to Lenoir.

With nearly 600 cookies to give away, everyone at Lenoir was pleasantly surprised as the volleyball team took time to make conversation, and most importantly, talk Mizzou volleyball. The Tigers passed cookies out door-to-door ton nearly all 112 houses on the Lenoir campus and still had plenty left over to pass out in the Lenoir dining hall for a tasty Thanksgiving dessert.

Mizzou will host Baylor in its home finale on Wednesday at the Hearnes Center. The match will begin at 6:30 p.m. For all the latest on Mizzou volleyball, stay tuned to www.MUTigers.com.
