Missouri junior Julia Potter has advanced to the second round of the United State Women's Open Qualifying after a round of 77 on Monday at Walnut Hills Country Club in East Lansing, Mich. Next up for Potter is the Sectional Qualifier, which will be held on June 15 at Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette Ill.

The 2009 U.S. Women's Open will be played July 9-12 at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.

Potter also advanced to the Sectional Qualifier last year, falling just short of making the U.S. Open field in a playoff.
