COLUMBIA, Mo. - Despite poor weather that led to flights out of St. Louis, the Tigers arrived in San Antonio on Tuesday to prepare for the Valero Alamo Bowl.
The first wave of Tigers, which included administrative and support staff, and their families, boarded buses at 4:30 a.m. for St. Louis' Lambert International Airport; that group arrived in San Antonio just before 11 a.m.
The second group included the Tiger players, coaches and their families, and arrived just after 6 p.m. The Tigers' large contingent of Texas players were largely spared the travel hassles, as they were allowed to arrive directly from their homes in around the state.
Plans for Tuesday night were split among attending the San Antonio Spurs/Minnesota Timberwolves matchup at the AT&T Center, and finding a TV to huddle around to watch the Busch Braggin' Rights basketball showdown vs. Illinois.
The Tigers begin practice in San Antonio Wednesday morning. Stay tuned to mutigers.com for the latest from the Valero Alamo Bowl!
