Columbia, Mo. -The Missouri softball team closed its fall season with a 22-0 victory over Johnson County Community College combining for over 20 hits. Freshman designated played Chelsea Thomas crushed a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning to score four of Missouri's 22 runs, while senior catcher Michaela Minner also knocked a solo shot out of the ballpark.

Freshman Kristin Nottelmann hurled the first four innings of action, allowing only one hit. The Tiger struck out four of the 14 batters she faced and was relieved by senior Stacy Delaney in the fifth frame. Delaney struck six batters to end the game.

Four members of Missouri's lineup recorded three or more hits in the game including Minner and sophomore Kathryn Poet, eaching finishing the day 4-for-5.

Missouri will open its spring schedule in February. A complete schedule will be release as soon as it is finalized.
