ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - - Mizzou senior Peter Malnati finished in a tie for second place at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate after firing a final round 71 on Sunday. Malnati's three-round total of 214 put him in a tie with Andy Winings of Kentucky for the runner-up spot, two shots behind Indiana's Jorge Campillo.
Missouri finished in ninth place in the team standings after a final round 306 gave them a three-round total of 903. Michigan won the event with a final total of 880.
Freshman Jace Long carded the best round of his short career at MU, with a 71 on Sunday. He finished in a tie for 31st place with a final total of 228. Sophomore William Harrold finished tied for 42nd place, while sophomore Will Hogan tied for 55th spot and sophomore Tyler Hillis placed in a tie for 60th.
Next up for the Tigers in the Wolverine Intercollegiate, which will be played next weekend in Ann Arbor, Mich.
