Mizzou in Second at UK Bluegrass Invite

LEXINGTON, Kent.- - The Mizzou men's golf team stands in second place after the first day of play at the UK Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington, Ky. The Tigers carded a 315 in the opening round, before turning in a 287 in round two. Their 602 total puts them eight shots behind leader, Central Florida.

Freshman Tyler Hillis is tied for sixth place with a two-round total of 148. He Hillis followed a 79 in round one with a 69 in his second 18 holes. Junior Peter Malnati and freshman William Harrold are among a group tied for ninth place, one shot behind Hillis.

Sophomore Bud Reynolds is in a tie for 40th spot with a 156 total, while junior Ryne Fisher withdrew from the tournament.

The final round will be played on Monday.
