Missouri Softball Home Opener Moved Indoors With New Start Time

Columbia, Mo. -With cold weather in the forecast, the Missouri softball doubleheader against Saint Louis has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. (CT) in the Dan Devine Pavilion. Game two is slated to begin around 8:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to park in the parking lot located on the west side of Faurot Field and take the pedestrian bridge across Providence Blvd. for access to the Pavilion. Dan Devine Pavilion is located south of the Missouri Athletics Training Complex (MATC) on the corner of Providence Blvd. and Stadium Blvd.

Admission to both games will be free.

Missouri enters the home opener with an 8-6 record and is coming off of a 2-2 finish at the Lobo Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. Looking to snap a two-game losing streak, the Tigers are 52-2 against the Bilikins of Saint Louis and collected two wins last season, 15-4 and 11-3.

Three Tigers, juniors Andee Allen (Barnhart, Mo.) and Lindsey Ubrun (Riverside, Calif.) as well as freshman Rhea Taylor (Buford, Ga.) own above a .300 batting average. Allen is batting .324 on the season and has scored six of Missouri's 54 runs this season. Playing in all four of Missouri's games at the Lobo Invitational, Allen was 6-for-11 at the plate with two triples in two games, one double and two RBI.

Junior Stacy Delaney (Freeland, Mich.) owns a 0.94 ERA that ranks fourth-best in the Big 12 Conference. Currently 3-2 on the season, Delaney has been credited with two solo shutouts and has struck out 30 batters in 37.1 innings of work.
