On Thursday, Mizzou Director of Athletics Mike Alden spoke to the Southeast Rotary in Springfield, Mo., along with making visits to the Lake of the Ozarks and Lebanon as part of the Statewide Outreach program. Joining Alden on the trip was Assistant Director of Development Matt Lyons and Assistant Director of Media Relations Josh Murray.

En route to Springfield, the caravan made a stop at the radio station of 101.9 The Wave, where John Caran is the General Manager/Director of Sales and Stacy Johnson is the Director of News.

The MU staffers then attended the Southeast Rotary in Springfield, where Alden spoke to a crowd in excess of 150 about Tigers athletics and the University of Missouri at the St. John's Cancer Center. A special think you to Barney Whitlock for his assistance in hosting the group from Mizzou.

On the return trip to Columbia, the trio made a stop at the Lebanon Daily Record for a visit with Publisher Dalton Wright and Sports Editor Israel Potoczny.

Mizzou's Statewide Outreach program will continue with more trips planned for the coming months.
