Sophomore guard J.T. Tiller made only the second start of his Mizzou career, with the first coming this season against Coppin State (12/27).
Senior forward Vaidotas Volkus made only the third start of his career as well, with his only other starts coming during this season against Kansas (1/19) and Texas Tech (1/23).

Trailing 32-23 with 2:51 remaining in the first half, the Tigers closed out the first half strong, going on a 7-0 run that cut the Cornhuskers halftime lead to two, 32-30.
Missouri forward DeMarre Carroll recorded his team-leading sixth double-double of the season, scoring a team-high 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in 38 minutes, which were also team bests...Carroll's double-double was also his third in the last seven games.
Vaidotas Volkus' jumper with 4:32 remaining brought his points total to ten, breaking the senior's previous career high of eight set earlier this season against Kansas...Becoming the tenth Tiger this season to score in double figures, Volkus finished the game with 12 points on five-of-seven shooting.
J.T. Tiller made the most of the second start of his career, scoring a career-high 14 points while also pulling down eight rebounds, which was also a career high...The Tiger guard also set career highs in field goals (7) and field goal attempts (15).

With a short bench, only seven Tigers saw action against the Cornhuskers, marking the lowest number of players Coach Mike Anderson has used in a contest at Missouri. The Tiger's previous low was nine players which occurred on numerous occasions.
The game's official attendance of 8,660 was the third highest attendance at Mizzou Arena this season...The top three crowds at Mizzou Arena this season have all come during Big 12 Conference play.
