Post Game Notes Following Mizzou Win Over North Carolina A&T
- Tonight's 94-66 win over the N.C. A&T is the 5th Tiger victory of 24 points or more this season. The Tigers previously downed Fordham, Southern, Western Illinois and McNeese State all by that margin or more.
- Missouri is 18-0 at home in non-conference play under Head Coach Mike Anderson.
- Missouri is now 2-0 against the Aggies. They previously beat N.C. A&T in last year's season opener, 101-80 in Coach Mike Anderson's first win as Tiger Head Basketball Coach.
- By notching two assists in tonight's contest, Tiger guard Jason Horton pulled within four assists of tying Lynn Hardy for 7th among Missouri's all-time assists leaders. Horton has 354 to Hardy's 358.
- Missouri was 23-28 from the free throw line. By shooting 82.1% from the line, Missouri came within .05% of tying their season-best effort against Maryland on Nov. 20, of this year. Missouri also shot 13-16 from the free throw line in the first half. It's their second best performance in a half all season, second only a 16 for 16 effort in the second half against Maryland.
- With 15 points, Missouri Forward Leo Lyons has scored in double figures in four consecutive games for the first time in his career. Lyons scored 10 against McNeese St., poured in 13 against Purdue and added 12 against Cal.
- After coming out of the locker room, Missouri began the second half of play with a 15-2 run before the first media timeout at 15:49.
- DeMarre Carroll scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, just one shy of his career high in both categories. Carroll notched the second double-double of his Missouri career in just 11 games. Carroll previously scored 20 and pulled in 13 boards against Western Illinois on Nov. 25, of this year. It's also the third time in his Tiger career that Carroll has scored more than 20 points in a game.
- Tiger forward Marshall Brown scored a season-high 13 points in tonight's contest. In his last two games, Brown has quietly come off the bench to score in double figures in both games. Brown previously scored 11 against McNeese St. this past Saturday, Dec. 15.
