San Antonio, Texas - MUTigers.com caught up with a couple of Tiger players at the team hotel in San Antonio after Wednesday's win over Texas Tech to chat about the game and the upcoming battle with second-ranked and top-seeded Texas A&M Friday (Nov. 11) at 5:30 p.m. in the Alamo City.
What do you think about trying to beat A&M for the second time this season?
"I think its just more motivation for us to prove that we're still the same team that beat them earlier in the year, and even though we had a couple of losses that were not expected, that we are still going to come out as hard and press as much as we do. It will be fun."
Was it nice to get a win against Texas Tech?
"I think we came in wanting to play as hard as we did. We didn't expect to go into overtime, but Texas Tech came out and played us just as hard. At least we got the overtime win, which we have been struggling with lately. But you know, we stayed together as a team and played hard."
On keeping focus the entire game:
"I think the period that we let down was a lot shorter today than any other game we've let down in earlier. You can't let down, because good teams will capitalize, like Texas Tech did. Hopefully we can stay focused the entire game against A&M."
On Mizzou's Depth: 13 Tigers took at least one shot Wednesday, tying a season-high
"We don't play like other teams, because with us, everyone gets to play. Coach Blitz has always talked about how we have a lot of depth, so that every person on our team is just accountable as the starters. The team depends on the non-starters just as much, and it gives you a lot of confidence going into the game."
