Mizzou Men's Golf Coach Mark Leroux announced on Thursday, that Jace Long has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Missouri and join the Tigers' golf program starting in the fall of 2008.
"Jace is a difference-maker and is someone that can elevate a program," Leroux said. "He has a very impressive and extensive record in junior golf. I know Jace is excited to join our team and we are excited to have once again have one of the top in-state players come to Missouri."
Long is a senior at Dixon High School in Dixon, Mo. He brings a very impressive junior golf record to Missouri. In the past year, he has claimed tournament titles at the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Bass Pro Shops/Payne Stewart Junior Championships and the AJGA Houchens Open, along with a second place finish in the AJGA Midwest Championship.
This fall Dixon took first at the Bear Creek West Open and had a second-place finish at the Purude Open. He was named an honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American by the AJGA and finished the 2007 season ranked No. 52 in the final Polo Golf Rankings.
