December 16th Missouri Pitching Clinic Announced

Columbia, Mo. -Missouri softball Head Coach Ehren Earleywine announced today that nationally renowned pitching coach Doug Gillis will host a three-hour pitching clinic Sunday, Dec. 16, beginning at 4 p.m. (CT), in the Hearnes Center. The clinic is limited to 35 participants and those interested in attending are asked to send their registration form, found online at www.mutigers.com , and $70 to Assistant Softball Coach Melissa Tucci. 100 MATC, Columbia, MO 65211. No walk-up registrations will be accepted.

A five-time member of Team USA and 2002 gold medalist at the Pan American Championships, Gillis along with the Missouri coaching staff and team, will work with individuals to improve their pitching skills. Pitchers must provide their own catcher as a major portion of the clinic will involve actual live pitching. Youth catchers are required to bring their own equipment and younger individuals are asked to bring a "youth" ball. There is no age restriction on the clinic.

Attendees should plan on signing in 30 minutes prior to the start of the clinic (3:30 p.m.) and are asked to please wear tennis shoes.

Included in the $70 fee is a Mizzou softball t-shirt.
