The Mizzou women's golf team will host the 1st Annual Johnie Imes Invitational this week at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The tournament is the first hosted by MU at the new home of the Tigers' golf teams.

The Johnie Imes Invitational will be a 54-hole event, with 36 holes being played on Monday with the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Play on both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

Joining Missouri in the tournament are Indiana, Memphis, Princeton, Eastern Illinois, Wichita State, Bradley, Northern Iowa, UMKC and Drury.

The last tournament hosted by the MU women's golf team was the 2002 Big 12 Conference Women's Golf Championships, which was played at the Country Club of Missouri.

The Club at Old Hawthorne opened last spring and is located three miles east of Highway 63 on Route WW.
