Columbia, Mo. - The Missouri softball team will continue the fall portion of its schedule with a Saturday, Oct. 6, game at Noon against instate opponent Crowder College. Admission to University Field is free with the donation of a canned food item which will be collected by the Central Missouri Food Bank. Fans planning to attend the afternoon contest are encouraged to arrive early as parking in the University Field lot will be limited.
Entering the game with 2-0 record that includes last Saturday's wins over Jefferson College (12-0) and Butler County Community College (13-0), this marks the first meeting between the Tigers and Lady `Riders of Crowder. Saturday's game also marks the final fall game of the year for Crowder, a team that has played 19 games since Sept. 8. Among Crowder's opponents were the Cowgirls of Oklahoma State. The two teams tied at 1-1 in eight innings on Sept. 23.
Missouri will have just two remaining games following their Saturday competition against Crowder. The Tigers will face Johnson County Community College at Noon Saturday, Oct. 13, followed by a 2 p.m. game against North Central Community College on University Field.
