Columbia, Mo. - Single-game tickets for any of Mizzou Basketball's non-conference home contests, including the opening rounds of the O'Reilly Auto Parts College Basketball Experience Classic will go on sale on Monday (Oct. 15) morning at 8 a.m. through the Mizzou Athletics Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets through mutigers.com, by calling the ticket office directly at 1-800-CAT-PAWS or by visiting the Mizzou Arena ticket office during business hours.
The Tigers are preparing for an exciting 2007-08 season, which will officially tip-off on Friday (Oct. 12) with Mizzou Madness at 9 p.m. Mizzou Madness is free to the general public, but the University of Missouri Department of Athletics is teaming up with the Central Missouri Food Bank and asks fans to donate one canned (food) item per person upon entry. Collection bins will be available at the gates. The first 1,000 students in attendance will receive a free Mizzou Madness t-shirt and other prizes will be up for grabs throughout the evening. Doors to Mizzou Madness open at 8 p.m.
The Tigers then host their annual Black & Gold Game at 7 p.m. on Oct. 30. Admission to the Black & Gold Game is just $5 and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer and the Boys & Girls Club of Mid-Missouri.
The Black & Gold Game will serve as a formal dress rehearsal before the Tigers open exhibition play against the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Nov. 3. Following a Nov. 8 exhibition game vs. Missouri Western, the 2007-08 Tigers open regular-season play on Nov. 12 against Central Michigan at 7 p.m.
Single-game tickets for Big 12 Conference games will be available for purchase in December.
