COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri Director of Athletics Mike Alden has agreed to terms of a contract extension that will keep Alden in the position through the 2011-12 school year.

Alden, currently in his 10th year holding Mizzou Athletics' primary leadership position, will have his guaranteed salary increased from $455,000 to $525,000, per terms of the new agreement. His base salary will increase from $235,000 to $275,000, while his deferred compensation will increase from $170,000 to $200,000. His supplemental guarantee will remain the same, at $50,000, as will the $50,000 potentially gained with incentives based around athletic, academic and social goals by the program.
