Columbia, Mo. - Fans can get their first look at the 2007-08 Mizzou women's basketball team as the squad will host an open scrimmage on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. inside Mizzou Arena prior to the home football game against Illinois State at 1 p.m. on Faurot Field.

Fan admission to the open gym is free to the general public and doors on the north side of Mizzou Arena (Faurot Field side) will be the most convenient way to enter the facility.

In addition to this weekend's open scrimmage, the Missouri basketball programs announced earlier this week that they will be hosting Mizzou Madness on Friday, Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. Held following the annual Rock Bridge-Hickman high school football game at Faurot Field, Mizzou Madness is free to the general public, but the University of Missouri Department of Athletics is teaming up with the Central Missouri Food Bank and asks fans to donate one canned (food) item per person upon entry. Collection bins will be available at the gates.
