On Thursday, MU Director of Athletics Mike Alden traveled to Osage Beach and Jefferson City as part of Mizzou's Statewide Outreach program.
Alden, along with Assistant Director of Development Matt Lyons and Assistant Director of Media Relations Josh Murray, first stopped at the Central Bank of the Lake of the Ozarks to speak at the bank's customer appreciation luncheon.
At the luncheon, Alden spoke to a group of about 50 bank customers and employees, outlining the core values of University and Department of Athletics.
Following the stop at Central Bank, the Mizzou staff members made a visit to Rick Duncan of Edwards Jones in Osage Beach before heading to Jefferson City and visiting Robert E. Dallmeyer.
The final stop of the day was at Learfield Communications headquarters in Jefferson City, where Clyde Lear and Roger Gardner gave the Tiger staffers a tour of the Learfield facility.
Future Outreach trips are being planned including a visit to Kirksville and Memphis in Northeast Missouri in September.
