Tigers Ready to Attack in 2007

July 30, 2007

Columbia, Mo. - Less than a month away from the start of the 2007 season, the Missouri women's soccer Team is working hard, preparing for what should be an exciting, successful campaign.

The work for many started in July, when most of the players on Mizzou's squad came back to Columbia to start summer classes.

Five Tiger players sharpened their skills in the Women's Professional Soccer League with St. Louis-based River Cities Futbol Club, and a couple shared their knowledge and experience at soccer camps.

Mizzou will start official practice August 13th and they will only have a little more than a week of practice before their first exhibition match, Aug. 21 against Indiana at Walton Stadium. After that match, the Tigers will travel to intra-state rival Saint Louis University to face the Billikens in an intense second exhibition match.

The regular season starts on Aug. 31 as the Tigers travel to Illinois, and the home opener Sept. 2 against Western Michigan at 1 pm at Walton Stadium.
