Arch Rivalry Football Game Picked up by ESPN2

June 12, 2007

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri football game scheduled for Sept. 1 against the Illinois Fighting Illini will be picked up for television by ESPN2, as announced today by the Big Ten Conference Office. The game, to be played in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo., will kick at 2:30 p.m. (central).

The two border rivals played each other in the same dome to begin the 2002 and 2003 seasons, with Mizzou claiming 33-20 and 22-15 wins, respectively. This will be the first of a four-year resumption of the series, with each game through the 2010 season to take place in St. Louis, with the potential for more years to be added.

Tickets for the game are currently on sale to members of the Tiger Scholarship Fund, and can be ordered by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS in Columbia). Ticket sales to the general public will begin July 18.

Television and game-time information for all other games in the 2007 season will be released as details become finalized.
