WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - - Mizzou senior Shawn Jasper is tied for fifth after a three-over-par round of 72 in the first round of the Boilermaker Invitational West Lafayette, Ind. on a day when cold temperatures caused high scores. The Tigers are in 13th place after the first day of play.
The tournament has been shortened to two rounds due to delays caused by inclement weather. The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday.
Redshirt freshman Bud Reynolds is tied for 42nd place after an 80 in round one, with sophomore Peter Malnati shot an 81 and is tied for 58th spot. Junior Beau Crawford is in a tie for 62nd place with an 82 on Saturday and sophomore Ryne Fisher is tied for 70th place after an 83.
Mizzou shot a team score of 318, two shots out of a tie for 11th and three shots behind ninth place.
