Missouri softball Head Coach Ehren Earleywine announced today that Missouri's Wednesday, April 25, doubleheader with Big 12 opponent Iowa State has been postponed due to a forecast which calls for heavy rain in the mid-Missouri region.
A makeup date and time will be determined and announced as soon as possible.
The Tigers, who entered the ESPN.com/USA Softball weekly poll at No. 21, are currently 33-19 on the season and 9-2 in the Big 12 Conference. Picked to finish eighth in the annual Preseason Big 12 Coaches Poll, Missouri currently stands in second with an 82 percent winning percentage, second only to eighth-ranked Baylor (11-5, 85 percent winning percentage). The two teams, Missouri and Baylor, will meet this weekend in Waco, Texas, for a two-game series beginning Saturday, April 28, at 2 p.m. A sellout crowd is expected.
