Big 12 Women's Golf Championship Begins Today

The Big 12 Conference Women's Golf Championship will begin today at the Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas. The three-round tournament will continue thru Wednesday. The championship format consists of a total of 54 holes with the entire course being played each of the three days.

Mizzou, who finished fourth at last year's Big 12 Championships for the second-straight season, has finished in the top four in five of the last seven conference tournaments.

In 2006-07, the Tigers claimed four top-four finishes and set school records for lowest 18-hole score (284 in final round of Mountain View Intercollegiate) and best 54-hole total (874 at Mountain View Intercollegiate).

Oklahoma State has earned more Big 12 Championships (five) than any other Big 12 team, followed by Texas and Texas A&M tied at two each, and Oklahoma with one.
