NEW YORK CITY - Missouri women's basketball standout EeTisha Riddle has been invited to the 2007 WNBA Pre-Draft Camp this weekend in Cleveland, Ohio.
Riddle is among the top 51 women's prospects from around the world who will showcase their abilities to coaches and general managers from all 13 WNBA teams this Friday and Saturday. The 2007 WNBA Draft presented by adidas will take place in Cleveland at the Renaissance Hotel on April 4 at Noon CT.
A four-year letterwinner from O'Fallon, Ill. who played in 115 games at Mizzou, Riddle ranks 24th all-time on the school's scoring list with 1,034 points and eighth in blocks with 112. She was named First Team All-Big 12 and completed her senior season with 524 points which ranks as the 13th-highest in a season at Mizzou.
The prospects will showcase their skills and compete against one another in drills, half court scenarios and full court scrimmages during three on-court sessions at Woodling Gym on the campus of Cleveland State.
League-appointed personnel will conduct player physical examinations on Thursday, March 29, followed by two on-court sessions scheduled for Friday, March 30 (8:30 - 11:30 a.m., 6:30 - 9 p.m.) and one for the morning of Saturday, March 31 (8-11 a.m.).
ESPN2 will provide exclusive first round coverage of the Draft with continued coverage of the second and third rounds on ESPNU and NBA TV. In addition, WNBA.com will cover all three rounds, providing complete analysis and comprehensive information on all 13 teams' selections.
Last year, when the WNBA Draft was held in Boston, marked the first time the WNBA Draft was held during the week of - and in the city of - the NCAA Women's Final Four. In previous years, the event was held at NBA TV studios in New Jersey while prior Pre-Draft Camps were conducted in the either metropolitan New York or Chicago.
In the last six years, Missouri has had five players selected in the WNBA Draft which is tied for the most among any of the Big 12 schools. A year ago LaToya Bond and Christelle N'Garsanet both participated in the pre-draft camp and made league rosters following their second- and third-round selections, respectively, on draft day.
Riddle one of six players from Big 12 schools headed to Cleveland. Additionally, there are four other players from teams that appeared on Mizzou's 2006-07 schedule.
