So far this season Missouri has raced to an exciting 17-9 overall mark, which includes three consecutive Big 12 Conference wins and back-to-back home victories against Baylor and Oklahoma. Picked to finish 12th by a number of preseason publications, first-year head coach Mike Anderson has the Tigers in fifth place in the Big 12 standings, which would mark Mizzou's best regular-season finish since the 2003-04 campaign. In addition, Mizzou's five-game improvement on last season's 12-16 overall record is tops in the Big 12 Conference this season and the five-game improvement is the best for a first-year head coach in MU history.
The exciting backcourt of Stefhon Hannah and freshman Keon Lawrence continue to lead Mizzou. Since Lawrence's insertion into the starting five the Tigers are 4-1 in Big 12 play, including a 22-point win at Iowa State and a 75-64 win at No. 18 Oklahoma State.
Mizzou returns to action on Feb. 24 when the Tigers travel to Lincoln, Neb., to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Tip-time is scheduled for 12:47 p.m., as the Tigers go searching for their third consecutive road win in Big 12 action.
