Columbia, Mo. - On Wednesday, Head Coach Blake Starkey announced dates for the 2007 Mizzou Nike Tennis Camp. The camp will run June 10th -14th, June 17th-21st, and June 24th-28th. "We run one of the top summer tennis camps in the country, and working with kids is something we really enjoy," said Coach Starkey. "It's been kind of cold lately, and just thinking about summer camp right now makes us happy. We've had a lot of returners each summer, and we'll be looking forward to seeing them as well as our new campers who may be coming to Columbia and University of Missouri for the first time."

LETTER FROM COACH STARKEY TO CAMPERS/PARENTS:

Campers,

I'd like to be the first to welcome you to the Mizzou Nike Tennis Camp! We've got some great things planned this week both on and off court! You're going to learn a lot this week, and have a blast while doing so!

First off, we've got a top-notch staff assembled for you! You'll be learning from a great group of energetic counselors, most of who are current college players and have competed at a very high level. One thing about them is they are very excited to be working with you as you travel down this path towards becoming the best tennis player you can!

And if you haven't noticed yet, you're going to be playing and staying in state-of-the-art facilities! The Green Tennis Center on the Mizzou campus is one of the finest collegiate tennis facilities in the entire Midwest! And by staying and dining on the University of Missouri's campus, you'll enjoy comforts (like air conditioning and great food!) that fellow campers nationwide will NOT be enjoying this week!

Your on-court experience will be challenging, but fun. You'll also get a dose of off-court conditioning that top-level tennis players will tell you is vital if you want to become great. Make sure to pay special attention to our staffers - if you do, you'll get rock solid feedback that will help you on your path to greatness! And when you're on break, or tennis is over for the day, we've got some excellent evening activities planned!
