Missouri welcomes Kansas State to Mizzou Arena for an 8 p.m. contest to be televised via the Mizzou Sports Network on FSN Midwest (in Missouri only), Metro Sports in Kansas City and KZOU in Columbia ... a couple of milestones could be attained as Head Coach Cindy Stein has 149 wins at Mizzou and senior F Carlynn Savant needs just two 3-pointers to set the all-time record at MU.

Mizzou-Kansas State Series History
Wednesday's game marks the 71st all-time meeting between the schools, with Kansas State holding a 37-33 overall lead ... the Tigers have a 19-10 edge in Columbia ... Missouri held a 31-27 lead through the first 58 games before K-State won nine-consecutive from 2002-05 ... the Tigers won both games last season, including a thrilling 22-point come-from-behind 66-65 overtime win in Manhattan ... this series is tied for the longest in MU women's basketball history (70 games with Kansas & Kansas State, 64 with Iowa State and 63 with Nebraska).

Notes From The First MU-KSU Game This Season
In the first meeting of the season K-State came away with a 81-66 win in Manhattan on Jan. 13 ... With the game tied at 38 with 15:30 on the clock, the Wildcats used an 18-7 run to go up by 11 with 8:50 remaining ... MU never got the margin below nine the rest of the game ... Recapping Last Week
Missouri snapped a four-game losing streak and a six-game Big 12 road losing streak with a 10-point win at Kansas ... three night's later the Tigers made history by winning back-to-back Big 12 road games in the same week for just the second time since the league was formed ... it also was Mizzou's first over a ranked team in five tries this season.

Riddle, Savant Post Equally Strong Week
Seniors EeTisha Riddle and Carlynn Savant each played exceptionally well in both game last week ... Riddle averaged 15.5 ppg on 44 percent shooting and 8.5 rpg ... against Kansas, she finished with 15 points, 12 boards and six assists for her 10th double-double ... she played all 20 minutes of the second half and had 10 points (on 5-of-8 shooting), five rebounds, two assists and two blocks ... against Nebraska she had 14 points and four rebounds in the final 11 minutes ... Stein One Victory Away From 150 At Mizzou
Missouri's next win will be Head Coach Cindy Stein's 150th in Columbia ... she has averaged 16.5 wins per season in her nine years with six postseason appearances in the last seven completed years.

Tigers, Wildcats Heading In Different Directions
While Missouri and Kansas State have identical records and share 10th place in the Big 12 standings, the two teams appear to be heading in different directions ... Mizzou is coming home after winning at arch-rival Kansas and at No. 19/20 Nebraska last week ... meanwhile, K-State has dropped eight of its last 10 since forward Marlies Gipson went down with a knee injury.

Notes From Saturday's Win At No. 19/20 Nebraska
Missouri won its second-straight and seventh-consecutive over NU in Lincoln ... the road team has won the last nine in the series ... Carlynn Savant had 17 points and 13 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the year ... EeTisha Riddle scored 14 of her 16 in the final 11 minutes as the Tigers outscored the Huskers 30-11 over that same time frame ... MU dominated on the glass to the tune of a 44-32 margin; NU came in allowing just 33.7 rpg in Big 12 play ... the Huskers shot just 31 percent in the second half and were held to just 3-for-21 (.143) in the final 16:33 ... there were 38 combined turnovers and 45 fouls called that resulted in 47 free throw attempts.

Nebraska Win Was Just The Sixth All-Time For Mizzou Over A Ranked Opponent On The Road
A check of the Associated Press Poll since its inception in 1976-77 shows that Saturday's win at No. 19 Nebraska was just the sixth time in school history that Missouri has defeated a ranked opponent on their home court ... the 65-53 victory snapped a streak of 16-consecutive losses dating back to March 18, 2001 and the second round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament when Mizzou upset No. 4 Georgia, 78-65 ... the complete list of road wins over ranked teams is below. Date AP Rank Opponent Score Jan. 9, 1979 20 Montclair State 73-71 March 13, 1982 9 Oregon 59-53 Jan. 5, 1983 16 UCLA 62-61 Feb. 28, 1993 22 Oklahoma State 64-63 March 18, 2001 4 Georgia 78-65 Feb. 17, 2007 18 Nebraska 65-53

Missouri Men & Women Knock Off Ranked Teams On The Same Date
For just the third time in the last 14 years the Missouri men's and women's basketball teams each defeated a ranked team within one day of each other ... it is the first time since 1994 that it has happened on the exact same date. Feb. 4, 1997 - Men defeated No. 1 Kansas Feb. 5, 1997 - Women defeated No. 12 Kansas

If The Big 12 Championship Started Today...
Missouri would be the 11 seed (based on losing the tiebreaker with K-State) and play Texas Tech ... the Tigers sit just two games behind Tech for sixth place with three to play... the combined Big 12 records of the Mizzou's four remaining opponents is 24-24 ... following Saturday's game at Nebraska (9-3), the Tiger return home to face Kansas State (4-8), play at Oklahoma (9-3) and conclude the Big 12 slate with Kansas (2-10) on Senior Night at Mizzou Arena.

What's Left For The Bottom Eight
Since the Big 12 Championship doesn't start today, here is a look at what's left for the eight teams battling for seeds 5-12 ... co-leaders Baylor, Oklahoma and Texas A&M have already secured the top three seeds, while Nebraska needs one win or an Iowa State loss to wrap up the other remaining top-4 seed.

Mizzou 12 Points Away From 7-6 Big 12 Record
Coaches and players will tell you that you can't worry about previous results and you need to concentrate on what's in front of you ... but a closer check of Missouri's 4-9 Big 12 mark and you can see why a number of coaches around the league have publicly said they don't want to see MU on their side of the Big 12 Championship bracket ... looking at their three closest losses and you will see that the Tigers are 12 points away from being 7-6 and tied for fifth with Iowa State ... in losses to Texas (79-77 ot), at Baylor (71-70) and against Texas A&M (69-63), Missouri held a lead in all three games at some point with less than 6:00 to play ... MU has also held early second-half leads in road setbacks to Colorado and Iowa State.

Mizzou Among The League's Best Offenses
Missouri enters the Kansas State game ranked first in the Big 12 in FT Pct. (.795), third in 3-FG Pct. (.362), sixth in FG Pct. (.425) and fifth in scoring offense (71.0 ppg) ... Mizzou and Texas A&M are the only two schools to rank in the top-half of the league stats in all four categories.
