Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri women's tennis team lost to No. 29 Texas A&M, 7-0, Sunday at the Green Tennis Center. The Tigers fall to 2-3 on the season and 0-2 in the Big 12.

The day started with doubles action, where A&M's 50th-ranked duo of Tiffany Clifford and Sarah foster downed MU's McKenzie and Wagner, 8-3. The Tiger duo jumped out to a 3-1 lead but could not continue their momentum.

At No. 2, the 25th-ranked Aggie duo of Anna Lubinski and Nicki Mechem defeated Erika Josbena and Amanda Pratzel, 8-4. At No. 3, MU's Chrissy Svetlic and Kaitlin Dunham fell to A&M's Ana Blagodarova and Michelle Sammons, 8-4.

Singles action was not much kinder to the Tigers, as they lost all six matches. At No. 1, #48 Anna Lubinski defeated Josbena, 6-1, 6-1. Pratzel fell at No. 2 to #50 Elze Potgieter, 6-0, 6-2. At No. 3, Svetlic lost to Blagodarova, 6-2, 6-2. Wagner lost to Sara Foster at No. 4, Dunham lost her first match of the season to Mechem at No. 5 and Bellis lost to Clifford at No. 6.

The Tigers will look to rebound Friday afternoon when they host Drake at 1p.m. The Tigers will welcome back former star player and assistant coach Urska Juric, now the head coach at Drake.
