TIGERS OPEN BIG 12 PLAY AT COLORADO WEDNESDAY
Missouri opens Big 12 Conference play at North Division rival Colorado on Wednesday ... dating back to the first round-robin schedule in the Big Eight (in 1982-83), this marks the first time in past 25 years that the Tigers and Buffs have faced one another in the conference lid-lifter ... Mizzou is 10-14 in conference openers and 2-8 in Big 12 openers ... the Tigers have won their last two to begin league action ... this is also the sixth time in Cindy Stein's nine years the MU has started Big 12 play on the road.

MIZZOU-COLORADO SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday's game marks the 60th all-time meeting between the schools, with CU holding a 34-25 overall lead and a 18-7 margin in Boulder ... the Tigers have won three straight, including the last two in the Coors Events Center ... a Mizzou win would give mark the longest winning streak over CU since capturing six consecutive from 1984-85 ... this is the fifth-longest series in MU women's basketball history (69 with Kansas, 69 with Kansas State, 62 with Iowa State and 61 with Nebraska).

2006-07 SQUAD OFF TO FASTEST START IN MU HISTORY
Sitting at 12-1 through 13 games the 2006-07 Tigers have tied the 1976-77 team for the fastest start in school history ... each team earned 12 wins in its first 13 games ... last year's team, along with the 1976-77, 82-83, 83-84 and 92-93 groups hold the record for most wins with two losses at 13-2.

WHAT A SECOND HALF!
Hoops experts often say that hot shooting is contagious ... if that's true, then on Friday night there was an outbreak of record proportions for Missouri in the second half of its win over UAPB ... the Tigers scored 62 points, shot 74.2 percent from the field, 55 percent from behind the arc and made all 10 free throw attempts ... in fact from the 5:13 mark of the second half to the 13:54 point, Missouri didn't miss a single shot - going 13-for-13 from the floor and 5-for-5 from the charity stripe ... the 62 points are the third most in a half in school history (64 on two occasions in 1977-78), while the 74 percent is the most at Mizzou since at least the 1992-93 season (research is still in progress on that one).

BROOKS, RIDDLE ECLIPSE 700-POINT PLATEAU
Seniors Tiffany Brooks and EeTisha Riddle each surpassed 700 career points on Friday night as the Tigers' top two scorers with 19 and 20 points, respectively ... Brooks now has 716 career points (708 in 3 seasons at Mizzou; 8 points as a freshman at Kansas State) and Riddle has recorded 706 career points ... classmate Carlynn Savant leads all active Tigers with 775 career points.
