Missouri will play host to Arkansas State in women's basketball action on "Paint It Pink" night at Mizzou Arena on Friday. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. CT.
Mizzou (2-0) is coming off an impressive 89-60 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday, while Arkansas State (1-1) is looking to stretch its winning streak to a pair after defeating Alabama, 73-56, on Monday.
The "Paint It Pink" theme was created in conjunction with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game in support of breast cancer research/awareness. A portion of the proceeds from every ticket sold will be donated to Mid-Missouri Chapter of the foundation.
Adult general admission tickets are on sale for $5 and youth tickets are available for $3. There are a few ticket discounts available as well. Senior citizens (ages 60-and-over) can purchase tickets for $2 and anyone wearing pink to the game will also have the ability to purchase a discounted $2 ticket.
The first 500 fans will receive a free pink t-shirt.
Just last month the Missouri Department of Athletics raised over $2,500 during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through a variety of efforts, including a Mizzou Women's Connection wine tasting social and Passionately Pink Day, the athletics department contributed to a cause effecting thousands of individuals around the world.
