Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri's Department of Athletics has announced that single-game tickets for Mizzou Men's Basketball are now available for purchase through the Mizzou Athletics Ticket Office.
Single-game seats will initially be available for purchase by calling the ticket office at 1-800-CAT-PAWS, but will become available for online orders shortly thereafter. Single-game seats will be available for the first 17 home dates of Mizzou's school-record 21-game home court schedule, beginning with the Nov. 3 exhibition-opener against Missouri-Rolla and continuing through the Feb. 3 date with Nebraska. Single-game tickets for Kansas (Feb. 10), Baylor (Feb. 14), Oklahoma (Feb. 20) and Colorado (Feb. 28) will be available at a later date.
In addition to Big 12 dates against Iowa State (Jan. 6), Kansas State (Jan. 13), Texas Tech (Jan. 27) and Nebraska (Feb. 3), fans can purchase single-game tickets for exciting non-conference games including: the John Thompson Foundation Classic (Nov. 10-12), Davidson (Nov. 19), Arkansas (Nov. 30), Evansville (Dec. 3) and Mississippi State (Jan. 2). Purchasing season or single-game tickets for contests against North Carolina A&T (Nov. 10), Lipscomb (Nov. 16) and Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 25) is the best way for Tiger fans to view those games live. Those three contests did not receive sufficient clearance to be televised by the Mizzou Sports Network.
After purchasing single-game tickets, fans can help Head Coach Mike Anderson and the Tigers ring in the 2006-07 season at the annual Black and Gold Game on Friday, Oct. 27, the night before Tiger Football tangles with the Oklahoma Sooners at Memorial Stadium / Faurot Field. The Black and Gold Scrimmage will be a dress rehearsal for Mizzou one week before the squad opens exhibition play on Nov. 3 against Missouri-Rolla. Game time for the Black and Gold Scrimmage is set for 7 p.m. Admission is $5, but a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Boys and Girls Club of Columbia and Coaches vs. Cancer. Doors to the Black and Gold Game open at 6 p.m.
Although single-game tickets are now available, a limited number of season tickets for Mizzou Basketball are also on sale. Fans should call the Mizzou Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-CAT-PAWS for more information.
