Football's Chase Patton and soccer's Aria Hudetz have been named the Varsity M/Lathrop & Gage Student-Athletes of the Week for Oct. 16-22, 2006.

Patton is a redshirt-sophomore quarterback for the 24th-ranked Tiger football team (6-1, 2-1 Big 12). The Columbia, Mo., native appeared in Mizzou's 34-7 win over Ole Miss in week two of the 2006 campaign. He is a biology major with a 3.63 grade-point average who has visited children at University Hospital and assisted with Truman's Kids Club.

Hudetz is a senior from Fort Collins, Colo., who has appeared in 14 games with four starts. She has assisted on a pair of goals this season for Mizzou (9-7, 1-6 Big 12). She is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection and has also worked with the Truman Kids Club. Hudetz has posted a 3.12 gpa while majoring in biological sciences.

The football team will play host to Kansas State on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Memorial Stadium for Homecoming, while the soccer team will travel to Texas and Texas A&M this Friday and Sunday, respectively.
