ANN ARBOR, Mich. - - The Mizzou Men's Golf Team is tied for third place after two rounds of play at the Wolverine Intercollegiate in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Tigers carded rounds of 288 and 282 on Saturday.
Sophomore Peter Malnati is tied for second in the individual standings with a 36-hole total of five-under-par 137. After a one-under-par 70 in the first round, Malnati turned in a three-under 67 in the afternoon 18 holes. He is two shots behind Mitch Gillis of Oregon State.
Senior John Kelly is also among the top 10, with a two-round total of 140 (73-67) and is tied for ninth place.
Sophomore Kyle Marcolla is tied for 22nd place with a two-round total of 144 (71-73). Junior Chris Zeller (74-76) and sophomore Ryne Fisher (75-75) are among those tied for 58th place with 36-hole totals of 150.
Wisconsin leads the tournament with a 564 total, followed by Michigan (568). Missouri and Oregon State are tied for third, one shot ahead of fifth-place Akron.
Next up for the Tigers is the Wolverine Intercollegiate in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Sept. 16-17.
