COLUMBIA, Mo. -- - Kickoff for Mizzou's Sept. 23 football game against Ohio has been set for 1 p.m. (central time) at Faurot Field, as announced by the University of Missouri Department of Athletics on Friday.

The Tigers will open the 2006 season Sept. 2, against Murray State with kickoff set for 6 p.m., before facing Mississippi at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 9. Tickets for all of Mizzou's games can be purchased by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS in Columbia), by visiting www.mutigers.com, or in person at the Mizzou Arena Ticket Office. Season tickets are also available.

Mizzou continues its preparation for the 2006 season and will hold its second scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m. on Faurot Field. The time for the scrimmage has been changed from its originally scheduled 1 p.m. start due to the expected hot temperatures.
