Columbia, Mo. - Mizzou Men's Basketball Coach Mike Anderson will address nearly 3,000 new University of Missouri students and faculty members on Thursday (Aug. 17) evening when he speaks at the annual Fall Welcome Spirit Rally inside the Brewer Field House portion of the Campus Recreation Center at 6:30 p.m.

The event runs in conjunction with the Fall Welcome Spirit Picnic, which will provide free food and beverages to Mizzou Students beginning at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by The Student Recreation Center, Campus Dining, Department of Student Life, MSA/GPC Department of Student Activities, New Student Programs and Mizzou Athletics.

Anderson, Director of Athletics Mike Alden and Special Assistant Gary Link will attend this annual event to welcome new students to Missouri and promote student involvement with Mizzou Athletics during the upcoming 2006-07 school year.

Students and faculty members attending the event are encouraged to enter Brewer Field House through the west entrance.
