GREENSBORO, Ga. - - Senior Chris Mabry carded the best round of Monday's final round of the Linger Longer Invitational. Mabry recorded a 68, as Mizzou shot a 301 final round, finishing the tournament tied for seventh.
Mabry's four-under-par 68 matches his season low and tied for the lowest round of the three-round tournament. He shot even par on the back nine after carding a four-under-par 32 on the front side of Monday's final round. He finished tied for sixth overall with a 54-hole score of 214.
Freshman Peter Malnati and junior John Kelly each shot 77 in Tuesday's round. Malnati finished tied for 23rd with a three-round total of 221 and Kelly placed in a tie for 36th spot with a 226 final total. Junior Shawn Jasper finished tied for 51st place with a 54-hole total of 230.
Georgia took the tournament title with a 9-under par score of 855, finishing 14 shots ahead of second place Charlotte. Missouri tied with Augusta State for seventh place, four shots out of sixth and six shots out of the top five.
The Tigers will play in the NCAA Central Regional beginning on Thursday in Cleveland, Ohio.
