Five Mizzou Men's Golfers were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Conference Men's Golf Team, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. Missouri, along with Texas and Texas Tech, led the Big 12 with the five selections.

Of the five Tigers on the team, four earned First Team honors, led by junior Michael Unger, who was the only Academic All-Big 12 selection with a 4.00 GPA. Unger is an industrial engineering major at Missouri.

Also named to the First Team were junior marketing major Shawn Jasper, junior marketing major John Kelly and senior physics major Trent Twaddle. Junior management major Tyler Dunn was named to the Second Team.

Nominated by each institution's director of student-athlete support services and the media relations offices, the academic all-league men's golf squad consisted of 26 first team members combined with 10 on the second team. First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, and the second team are those who have a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.

The Big 12 Men's Golf Championship will be contested on April 24-25 at Southern Hills Golf Course in Tulsa, Okla. for the second time in conference history.
