The Mizzou Men's is in third place after the first two rounds of the 21st Annual Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La. The Tigers stand at 9-under par (567) with rounds of 282 and 285 on the first day of play at the Oakbourne Country Club. Baylor leads the tournament with a two-round total of 555 (279-276).

Missouri senior Ben Scott is tied for eighth in the individual standings after an opening round 71 and a second round 70. Scott's 141 total is 3-under par and is one shot out of seventh place and two shots behind fourth place.

A trio of Tigers is in a tie for 14th place. Senior Chris Mabry had rounds of 70-71, junior Tyler Dunn carded a 72 in round one and shot a 70 in the afternoon round and freshman Peter Malnati recorded an opening round 69 and followed that with a 73 in the second round.

Junior Shawn Jasper followed a 76 with a 73 in the second round and is tied for 55th after day one.

Baylor is four shots ahead of second place Houston. Mizzou is 12 shots behind Baylor and eight shots out of second place.

The tournament will conclude with the final round tomorrow morning.
