The Mizzou Men's Golf team finished in fourth place at the Matlock Classic at the Grasslands Golf and Country Club in Lakeland, Fla. The Tigers finished with a three-round total of 898 (299-306-293) for the tournament, just seven shots behind the winner, Florida Southern.
Senior Ben Scott finished tied for second in the overall individual standings with a 54-hole score of 219 (75-75-69). Junior Shawn Jasper tied for 15th place with a three-round total of 225 (70-76-79) and senior Chris Mabry placed in a tie for 19th with a final score of 226 (81-76-79).
Freshman Peter Malnati shot 233 (78-79-76) for the week and finished tied for 50th place, while fellow freshman Ryne Fisher finished in a tie for 65th place with a 54-hole total of 238 (76-81-81).
Florida Southern, the host school for the tournament, took the tournament title. West Florida was second with an 893 total, followed by Lynn University with an 894 score.
The Tigers will next take part in the Louisiana Classic in Lafayette, La. on March 6-7.
