February 1, 2005 - 8 p.m.

Game Notes
The last time a Mizzou team beat a ranked Longhorns squad was Feb. 27, 1999, when they took a 54-47 victory in Austin.

Missouri Team Notes
The Tigers held Texas to just 33.3 percent shooting from the field in the first half - the Longhorns' lowest first-half effort of the season.

The scoring was senior-dominated for the Tigers, as senior center Kevin Young (13 points) and senior guard Jimmy McKinney (13) combined for 26 of Mizzou's 53 points - accounting for 49.6 percent of the Tigers' output. In the first half, the duo combined for 13 of Mizzou's 20 first-half points, translating into 65 percent.

Mizzou held Texas forward LaMarcus Aldridge, the Big 12's leader in double-doubles, to just five points and three rebounds on the evening.

Missouri Player Notes
With his 13-point, 10-rebound effort against Texas, senior guard Jimmy McKinney recorded his first career double-double.

Senior guard Jimmy McKinney became the first guard, and third player overall, to record a double-double against the Longhorns this season. He joins forwards Peter Cipriano of Southern and David Monds of Oklahoma State.

Senior guard Jimmy McKinney's 10 rebounds on the night are a new career high, eclipsing the mark of eight he had against Nebraska in 2003.

With 10 rebounds against Texas, senior guard Jimmy McKinney needs only 10 more boards to become just the fifth player in school history with 1,000 points, 400 rebounds and 300 assists.

Senior guard Jimmy McKinney's 13 points against Texas give him 1,026 for his career, moving him ahead of Ray Bob Carey for 33rd place in school history.
