Thomas Gardner Questionable For Saturday's Game With Mild Concussion

Jan. 12, 2006

Columbia, Mo. - Missouri's Thomas Gardner, the Big 12 Conference's leading point producer (20.2) and three-point field goals leader (3.3), will be listed as questionable for Saturday's Big 12 tilt with Colorado, after suffering a mild concussion following an on-court collision with teammate Marshall Brown during Thursday afternoon's practice.

The collision occurred as both players were hustling to the corner for a loose-ball rebound. Brown was uninjured.

Gardner has started all-13 games for the Tigers (9-4 overall, 2-0 Big 12) this season and has led or tied for the team lead in scoring 11 times, including a game-high tying 21 points in Mizzou's 71-69 win at No. 22 Oklahoma on Tuesday (Jan. 10). Gardner also poured in 23 points in the Tiger's 69-61 win over Oklahoma State on Jan. 7 to propel the club to its first 2-0 Conference start since the 2000-01 campaign.
