#69 Tigers Defeat Drake 6-1

Columbia, Mo.- The #69 ranked Missouri women's tennis team improve to 2-1 on the season dominating the Drake Bulldogs 6-1 in Mizzou's first home contest of the season.
The Tigers were able to clinch valuable doubles points sweeping all three matches. The Tiger duo of Yelena Olshanskaya and Erika Josbena played tight coming from behind before to best Drake's Eveline Rusdianto and Alison Wilke, 8-5.
In a key match-up at No. 1 singles, #120 Katka Sevcikova battled Drake's Zorana Stefanovic to a tiebreaker in the second set before Sevcikova pulled out 6-1, 7-5, victory. Also seeing harrowing play in the No. 3 singles bracket, Erika Josbena defeated Irina Kalishnakova 6-1, 6-1.
The Tigers are back in action Sun., Feb. 6, taking on Dartmouth at 10:30 a.m., in the Green Tennis Center. All Missouri tennis matches are open to the public.
