Oct. 14, 2005
Columbia, Mo. - Tickets will become available Monday, Oct. 17, for the Missouri wrestling program's season-opening dual against the Stanford Cardinal. Making a trip to the western edge of the state, Missouri will host the event in Oak Park High School in Kansas City.
The tickets cost $10 and there is a $7 service charge on each order of passes. Paying the price of admission allows a glimpse at the 2005-06 Missouri Tigers wrestling program, ranked No. 14 in the nation by many preseason polls. Led by preseason No. 1 Ben Askren (174), a native of Hartland, Wis., the Tigers boast six wrestlers ranked in the top 20 by WrestlingMall.com. Head Coach Brian Smith will lead his squad against a talented Stanford team coached by Kerry McCoy, a two-time Olympian in his first year as leader of the Cardinal.
Tickets will be available at the door, but only if the match is not sold out on the day of competition. To place a ticket order please visit the ticket office in Mizzou Arena or call 1-800-CAT-PAWS.
