Cher Farewell "Never Can Say Goodbye" Tour 2004

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri - Department of Intercollegiate Athletics presents the Cher Farewell "Never Can Say Goodbye" Tour with special guest the Village People Thursday, November 11th.

There are a handful of one-named superstars in the world...and then there's CHER.

As a recording artist, live performer, TV star and Oscar-winning actress, she is truly peerless. Quite simply, Cher is a force of nature...eternally youthful and ever-vital as a creative, trend setting figure. "I love the idea of making songs that reach different generations of people - songs that hold the attention of longtime fans, while also grabbing the attention of kids. That's the dream of any artist."

Timeline: • After more than 140 shows, Cher's Living Proof Farewell Tour had grossed $130 million and entered its second summer, as one of the season's strongest draws. (June 20, 2003)

• September 17, 2003 Cher announces that she will end her long-running Living Proof farewell tour on Oct. 31, 2003 in Toronto, the same city where the tour began in June 2002.
