Columbia, Mo. - Gearing up for the 2005 season, the Mizzou gymnastics team welcomes media affiliates to its Pre-Season Media Day Tues., Jan. 4th at 1:00 p.m., in the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse. Tiger coaches and athletes will be on hand for interviews followed by practice beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Showcasing their talents during the annual Black and Gold meet earlier this month, the Tigers look to be back on track making strides toward an NCAA Championship appearance. Returning 10 letterwinners, including Big 12 champions Alisha Robinson and Lauren Schwartzman, the Tigers received a 22nd ranking in the GymInfo Pre-Season Poll.
Kicking off the 2005 season with back-to-back road trips, Mizzou travels to Iowa State on Fri., Jan 7 before competing in the Arizona Invitational on Fri., Jan. 14. The Tigers open their home season against Centenary on Fri., Jan. 24 at 7:00 p.m., in the Hearnes Center.
