Evanston, Ill. - The University of Missouri men's and women's swimming and diving teams had a good open to the TYR Invitational, held this weekend in Evanston, Ill. After two days of competition, the Mizzou men were in third place overall in the five-team meet.
On the men's side, Matt North took top honors in the 100 breaststroke, with a time of 56.04, while David Darmitzel also had a standout performance in the 400 individual medlay, as he finished in second place, with a time of 4:00.32.
The team scores through two days of competition at the meet, hosted by Northwestern University, are:
MEN - 1. Northwestern (702); 2. Pittsburgh (591); 3. Missouri (550.50); 4. Southern Illinois (453.50); 5. Kenyon College (309).
