Megan Wilson Signs with Mizzou Volleyball

Nov. 11, 2004

Megan Wilson has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Mizzou Volleyball team next fall, as announced by MU Head Coach Susan Kreklow on Thursday. She will join her sister, Nicole, who is currently a sophomore at Missouri.

Wilson was ranked among the Top 50 in PrepVolleyball.com's rankings of the 2005 recruits. The website says Wilson is "nimble and athletic enough to be a strong setter but big enough to be an imposing right side blocker and attacker, Wilson is a player as versatile as she is tall."

The 6-2 Wilson is in her senior season at Lincoln Christian High School in Lincoln, Neb. As of last week, she was averaging 3.2 kills per game, 0.71 aces per game and had a .493 hitting percentage. Wilson has split time between the setter position and middle blocker. She will join Mizzou as a setter and right side hitter next season.

"We are excited about having Megan join our program here at Mizzou," Kreklow said. "Aside from being a good volleyball player, Megan has a great attitude. She will be a great addition to our team and be able to contribute in several ways."
