Na Yang is the second player ever from the Eastern Hemisphere to play at Missouri, joining teammate Shen Danru. She has recorded four double-doubles on the season, including 17 kills and 19 digs against Purdue on Sept 4, both season highs. A hamstring injury against Iowa State forced her to miss three matches and she has seen limited playing time in the last two matches. Yang was on the Chinese World Teenage Championship team in 1998. She spent a year in the United States before this season, studying in the Intensive English Program at the University of Missouri.
